Sujit Kumar passed away

First super star and veteran of Bhojpuri Cinema Sujit Kumar passed away on 5th Feb at his Mumbai residence following a prolonged illness due to cancer. Born at Baburi in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh Sujit Kumar started his film career as an asstt. director of Kishore Kumar on a meagre monthly wages of Two Hundred Rupees for the Hindi film Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Me. It was a long journey before he was cast as hero of the Bhojpuri film Laagi Nahi Chhute Ram. Unfortunately the lead actress of the film Kumkum rejected him and Aseem Kumar was signed instead of him. Finally he got the chance of his lifetime when the Gujrati producer Bachchu Bhai Shah decided to cast him in his Bhojpuri film Bidesia based on the famous folk drama of Bhikhari Thakur. This film Bidesia launcehd Sujit Kumar as the first superstar of Bhojpuri Cinema.

His death was mourned by Bhojpuri film industry. Super star Manoj Tiwari and many others have send their condolances for the departed veteran. May his soul lives in peace !

Manoj Tiwari celebrated his birthday at Varanasi

Present day super star of Bhojpuri cinema Manoj Tiwari Mridul choose to enjoy his birthday in the company of his mother at Varanasi. His friends of yore gave him the company at his Birthday. Talking with the media Manoj Tiwari became very emotional for his departed father.

Some days ago he has resigned from the primary membership of Samajvadi Party on whose ticket hehas contestec the last LokSabha elections from Gorakhpur. He has not yet decided about his new party but has decided to work for Purvanchal state in a big way. He will tour the whole of Purvanchal to generate grassroot support as well as intellectual support for the creation of a new state Purvanchal.

Nirahua No. 1 creates wave

Nirahua

Recently a Bhojpuri film by famous producer of South India B.Obulrreddy Nirahua No. 1 was released on 26th January in Bihar. This film has DineshLal yadav Nirahua and Pakhi Hegde in the lead roles. Pakhi has given some very hot scenes for the film and the viewers have gone crazy. The film is running in packed houses for the third week in succession. Nirahua is playing a Pandit who is also a Don in the film and has given captivating action scenes. The film has been shot at beautiful locations of South India.
